Canterbury centre Josh Morris bagged four tries to send the Sydney Roosters crashing back to earth with a 60-14 flogging in the NRL clash at Sydney's Olympic stadium on Sunday.

The Bulldogs finally notched their first win of 2010 by recording their biggest ever win over the Roosters, with the match virtually all over at half-time when the home side led 30-4 before running in a total of 12 tries to the Roosters' three.

The Roosters' woeful performance, with a completion rate that only just cracked 50 per cent, even verged on the comical when interchange forward Martin Kennedy fell and head-butted a ball from the kick-off to gift Morris his third.

Brian Smith's side had started the season like a house on fire with upset victories over South Sydney and the Wests Tigers, but it was outmuscled and out-enthused on a warm Homebush afternoon in front of 19,738 fans.

Bulldogs livewire interchange Ben Barba bagged three tries of his own.

Canterbury totally dominated the first 40 minutes, notching six tries, including a hat-trick to Morris.

He gave opposite centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall nightmares by wreaking havoc on the Roosters' right edge, scoring in the 10th, 21st and 30th minutes.

He completed his quartet in the 61st minute when Roosters full-back Todd Carney capped an afternoon to forget by fumbling a kick.

Steve Turner and Andrew Ryan, who barged through four defenders, also got first half tries while Brett Kimmorley was instrumental in Jamal Idris' 37th minute four-pointer, making the bust and then delivering a superb one-handed pass in the movement.

The only bright spot for the Roosters had come when centre Ben Jones crossed for an individual try in the 28th minute to make it 22-4.

The visitors mounted a brief comeback with two tries in the five minutes after half-time, to Braith Anasta and Mitchell Pearce, to get back to 30-14, half-back Pearce involved in both.

But a barnstorming effort from Jamal Idris in the 50th minute and Ben Barba's 57th minute try took the Dogs back out to 38-14.

The carnage was completed by Morris' fourth, Turner's second in the 70th minute and Barba's third in the 77th.
