Kevin Moore joined Canterbury in 1983 as a halfback.
The son of Peter Moore, Kevin became a regular member of the third grade team in 1984. He joined Halifax for an extended stay before returning to be a regular member of the Under 23 team in 1986.
After starting 1987 late, Kevin returned to captain the Under 23 team for the rest of the season.
In 1988, Kevin became a regular member of the reserve grade team and in 1989 captained the reserve grade team before receiving the opportunity to play first grade against Illawarra as a replacement.
In 1990, Kevin started the season in first grade but missed most of the season due to injury.
In 1991, Kevin started the season in first grade but was relegated for Ewan McGrady. He returned to first grade for the play-offs.
In 1992, Kevin started the season in first grade but was relegated for Craig Polla Mounter and became captain of reserve grade.
In 1993, Kevin captained the reserve grade team to the Preliminary Final against Newcastle.
In 1994, Kevin returned to first grade for Craig Polla Mounter early in the season and finished the season captaining the reserve grade team in the Semi-Final against St George.
Upon retirement, Kevin became coach of the Under 19 team to win Premierships in 1999 and 2000. He became reserve grade coach in 2001 and coached the team to win the Premier League in 2002.
In 2003, Kevin was assistant coach to the successful Australian Kangaroos squad for the Tri-Nations tournament.
In 2005, Kevin was appointed as an assistant to first grade coach Steve Folkes and is a Life Member of the Football Club.
In 2007, Kevin was appointed as the assistant coach for the NSW State of Origin team.
In 2008, Moore was appointed NRL coach for the 2009 season. He is an accredited Level III High Performance Coach with the ARL.
