While attending Palm Beach Currumbin State High in 2002, Ben Hannant played for the Australian Schoolboys.
In 2005, Ben made his debut for the Sydney Roosters against the Wests Tigers at Sydney Football Stadium in round four.
In late 2005, he moved to the Broncos for the 2006 season and enjoyed premiership success. The retirement of Shane Webcke following the Grand Final left some large shoes to be filled in the Broncos' front row and Ben was the perfect replacement.
Ben impressed Queensland Origin selectors with his outstanding form in 2008 and as a result was selected on the bench for game one. He scored his first try in Game 2 at Suncorp Stadium, which Queensland won 30-0.
Ben was valuable for the blue-and-whites up front in season 2009, with a total of 77 first grade games and three State of Origin games up his sleeve before joining the Club, this kid had plenty of potential to bring the mongrel back into the Bulldogs pack.
Ben possessed all the requirements of the modern day ball playing front rower, good leg speed and a great engine the reason the Bulldogs lured him from Brisbane.
After two years with the Bulldogs and 38 appearances in first grade, Ben opted out of his final year to return home to Brisbane.
