In 2010, Jamal continued his rise in the NRL when he was chosen to represent Country Origin before getting a call up to make his NSW Origin debut where he managed to score a try.
Season 2011 started off with Jamal representing the Indigenous All Stars in February before rising to the elite level, representing Australia in the ANZAC Test against New Zealand where he scored a great try on debut.
