Chris Armit made his first grade debut with Parramatta back in Round 6 of season 2003 against the Wests Tigers. He went on to play a further 14 games in the blue and gold during 2003 and 2004 before he and his younger brother Nathan both made their way out to Belmore for the 2005 season.
Chris played his first game for the blue-and-whites when he lined up in the 32-39 World Club Challenge loss against the Leeds Rhinos.
Since making his first grade debut for the club against St George Illawarra in Round 1 of season 2005, the 24-year-old has missed just six games for the club.
In 2005, Chris was one of very few players to appear in every match, producing some impressive statistics along the way.
In his debut season with the Bulldogs he made 395 tackles, 259 hitups, gained 2,133 metres and made just three errors from 24 appearances.
In season 2006 he managed to play yet another 24 matches however he was unable to play in Round 18 and 19 after suffering a shoulder injury.
He backed it up in 2006 when he managed 454 tackles, 281 hitups, 2,497 metres and just six errors - a consistent performer week-in-week-out.
In 2007, Chris missed just four games due to a shoulder injury. In the 911 minutes off football he played, he managed 203 hitups, gained 1,742 metres and produced 414 tackles.
In the 2008 NRL season, he played 18 games
as Canterbury finished last on the table.
He was eligible for Scotland's 2008 Rugby League World Cup campaign. He was later named in the Scotland squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup.
The following year in 2009, Canterbury finished second on the table and were among the favourites to win the competition alongside St George Illawarra. Chris played in Canterbury's preliminary final defeat against Parramatta at Telstra Stadium.
In 2011, Chris was a member of the Bulldogs NSW Cup
premiership winning team against the Auckland Vulcans.
In 2012, Chris joined Penrith.
