Rookie Glenn Hall crossed for his first and second tries in the NRL as The Bulldogs destroyed the Canberra Raiders 46-6 at the RAS Showground this evening.

The Raiders were far outclassed by the rampant home side, at one stage trailing 46-2 late in the piece. The Bulldogs shot out to a 28-2 half time lead on the back of five tries in twenty minutes and were never headed, again showing why they are one of the favourites for this season's title.

Halfback Brent Sherwin orchestrated the victory with a fine game, further enhancing his reputation as one of the game's premier playmakers, while Willie Mason and Braith Anasta also starred for the home side. The NRL's leading tryscorer Nigel Vagana crossed for a late try, adding to his impressive tally for the season.

For the Raiders, tonight was a footballing lesson. They struggled to contain the Bulldogs mobile forwards and had little control during the limited periods when they were in possession of the football. The Bulldogs were irresistible this evening, and must be salivating at the prospect of a clash with their much hated rivals Parramatta next Friday night. League fans won't want to miss that one for the world.
