A difficult week has come to a disappointing end for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, who suffered a 36-12 loss at the hands of the New Zealand Warriors at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium.

The tenure of caretaker coach Jim Dymock who took the reins following the departure of former head coach Kevin Moore on Friday looked rosy after a matter of minutes with the Bulldogs scoring the opening two tries of the match to lead 12-nil.

However that was as far as the Bulldogs got, with the Warriors running in six straight tries including a double to hooker Aaron Heremaia to take an easy win.

The loss was compounded by an elbow ligament tear suffered by five eighth Kris Keating, who is likely to miss upwards of a month of football while he recuperates.

With Ben Roberts starting the match for Keating the Bulldogs probed from the outset, and it would take just seven minutes for them to get on the board.

Receiving the ball on the last and with little room to move, Roberts turned himself inside out before putting a deft grubber into the in goal, which evaded the grasp of Bill Tupou for Dogs wing Jonathan Wright to dive in for the try.

Steve Turner having earlier missed a relatively easy shot at penalty goal nailed the conversion from the sideline for a 6-nil lead.

Turner was in the thick of the action again soon after when he scored the Dogs second, and again he converted from wide out to double the buffer at 12-nil.

The Warriors fought their way back into the contest with back rower Elijah Taylor burrowing over for his side's first after 21 minutes, with James Maloney converting to take the score to 12-6.

Then Maloney and Simon Mannering combined in a wrap around move to put Maloney away, levelling it up at 12-apiece by the half hour mark.

The home side forced a repeat set to start the second half and it paid dividends with Lance Hohaia scooting over from dummy half in the 42nd minute, putting the Warriors into the lead for the first time in the match.

Approaching the hour mark the Warriors again did it all from dummy half, Aaron Heremaia exploiting some tiring Dogs defence to score from 40 metres.

Just as it was earlier in the half the Warriors trapped the Dogs in their in goal and then scored on the next set, with Feleti Mateo running a nice line to score his side's fifth try.

The match came to an even sorrier end for the Bulldogs, with Heremaia scoring his second try after the full time siren to see the Bulldogs crash to a 36-12 loss.
