Kris Keating attended Westfields Sports High School, and in 2005 played for the Australian Schoolboys team. After the sudden departure of Brett Finch in early April 2009, he was rushed into the starting side for Parramatta, playing the role of half back.
Kris a Cabramatta junior, Kris played 34 games for the Eels and in 2010 he was named five eighth for the City Origin side.
In June 2010, Kris signed with the Bulldogs starting from 2011.
Kris made his first grade debut for the Bulldogs in Round 1 2011 against the Wests Tigers.
Kris played in the 2012 NRL grand final for Canterbury against Melbourne which Melbourne won 14-4.
After the departure of scrum-half captain Michael Dobson from Hull Kingston Rovers at the end of the 2013 Super League season. Kris signed by the Hull Kingston Rovers for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 seasons.
