Gary Warburton was recruited from Milton-Ulladulla in 2006 to play lock in the Flegg Cup team. A knee injury early in the year ended his season.
Gary returned in 2007 to secure a position in the Flegg Cup team. Late in the season, Gary secured a position in the Premier League team and played in the Preliminary Final against Parramatta.
He's a big, strong backrower who is very mobile. Gary made his first grade debut off the bench on April 19 2008 against St George Illawarra at ANZ Stadium when Michael Sullivan was unavailable through injury.

Gary made his first grade debut for Canterbury in round 6 2008 against St George. He made a total of nine appearance for Canterbury in his debut year as the club finished last on the table. He was also named NSW Cup Player of the Year.
The following year, Gary played 25 games for the club as they finished 2nd on the table in the 2009 NRL season.Canterbury were one of the favorites to take out the
premiership and reached the preliminary final that year against arch rivals
Parramatta. Canterbury lost the match 22-12 in front of a non-grand final
record crowd of 74,549 with Gary playing in the match.
In 2010, Canterbury failed to back up their performances from 2009 and finished 13th in 2010 with Gary making 18 appearances.
Gary's final first grade game for the club came in round 26 2011 against Canberra.
In 2011, Gary was a member of the Bulldogs NSW Cup premiership winning team against the Auckland Vulcans.
In 2013, Gary returned to his junior club
Milton Ulladulla Bulldogs.
