The Mitsubishi Electric Bulldogs have tonight gone down to the Warriors 40-22 at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

Star Sonny Bill Williams was ruled out of the clash earlier today and the Bulldogs missed their enforcer terribly as the Warriors ran riot early.

Just a little over a minute into the match and the Warriors had dove over out wide before slotting a perfect sideline conversion to lead 6-0.

The scoring continued at a rapid rate as the Warriors cut through the weak Bulldogs defence. With 10 minutes remaining until the break the visitors led 20-0 before the Dogs finally posted points through Hazem El Masri.

The point scoring wizard converted his own try however the early trend returned as the Warriors crossed for a further two tries before halftime to lead 30-6.

As the two teams trotted back onto ANZ Stadium and kicked off the second stanza, the blue-and-whites error count continued to increase almost in time with the clock.

Despite the errors the Bulldogs were first to score through winger Heka Nanai. El Masri failed to convert and the scoreline read 30-10.

The Bulldogs were beginning to settle and get back to basics and it paid off as El Masri crossed for his second of the night with 15 minutes on the clock before icing the cake with a beautiful conversion from the touchline.

Trailing 30-16 the Bulldogs were doing all they could to gain back some respect after trailing 30-6 at the break and when Reni Maitua somehow grounded the ball with eight minutes remaining, the Doggies were in with a slight chance as the margin narrowed to just eight.

Just as the Bulldogs faithful began to believe, their dreams were squashed as former Bulldog Steve Price crashed over after a John Kite error - soon followed by a further late try as the visitors ran away 40-22 winners.
