A ball playing lock, who can fill in the five eighth position, has good hands and good vision.
Nick Kouparitsis joined the Bulldogs in 2006 as a lock forward. Originally recruited from Western Suburbs, Nick became a regular member of the Premier League team and received his opportunity in the NRL against Canberra in Round 14 when Willie Mason, Andrew Ryan and Nate Myles were absent on representative duty.
Nick played in the Qualifying Semi Final win against Canberra from the bench when Reni Maitua was out injured.
In January, the 24-year-old was chosen in the NRL Rookie Camp - a camp consisting of 64 young players on the verge of big things.
He played for the Greek Rugby League side in 2005 in a friendly match against Malta. He also took part in the historic first Rugby League match to take place in Greece, which was played in Athens on the 28 October, 2006.
In 2007, Nick was impressive and showed great mobility in the forwards, playing 18 games for a total of 701 minutes.
Nick made 349 tackles, 131 hitups and gained 1,039 metres. His offloading and ability to trouble the defensive line saw him receive plenty of wraps in the league community.
Nick managed just 13 first grade games in 2008 and in 2009 he started the season in NSW Cup.
On April 30, 2009 Nick was released from his contract to join the Sydney Roosters. He played for the Roosters feeder club, Newtown that weekend as five eighth.
