He made his Jersey Flegg Cup debut on June 15, 2006 against South Sydney.

He was originally in the SG Ball Cup squad in 2006 and when the Ball season was completed he was then graded to the Flegg Cup as a 17 year old.

In 2007 Heka played 12 Flegg Cup games, scoring 12 tries before he was promoted to first grade to cover Hazem El Masri who was on Origin duty.

A tall, strong winger who knows how to find the line, Heka made his first grade debut for the Bulldogs against the Roosters in round 16, 2007.

On October 3, 2007 Heka was named the Bulldogs Jersey Flegg Player of the Year just a day after he was called into the Junior Kangaroos squad.

Heka was apart of the Junior Kangaroos 17-16 win over Fiji on October 5, 2007.

After a solid 2008 season on the wing for the Bulldogs, Heka was Canterbury's leading try scorer with 14 for the season.

In 2009, Heka was a member of the Bulldogs feeder club, the Bankstown Bulls NSW Cup premiership winning team against Balmain Ryde.

In 2010, Heka was a member of the Bulldogs NSW Cup premiership winning team against Windsor.
