A Scott Prince field goal with 15 seconds remaining has given the Wests Tigers a stunning 37-36 win over National Rugby League reigning premiers the Bulldogs in their clash at Sydney's Olympic stadium.
The Tigers came from 18-6 down at the break to lead 36-18 before the Dogs hit back in scintillating fashion with three tries in the last eight minutes.
But Queensland State of Origin half-back Prince had the last say as the Tigers repeated their famous win in the corresponding fixture last year and condemned the Bulldogs to their second defeat in three matches.
Prince was the star for the Tigers in their second half revival, scoring two tries in front of 19, 284 fans at Homebush.
The Bulldogs raced to a 12-0 lead after just eight minutes through converted tries to full-back Luke Patten and centre Jamaal Lolesi.
The Tigers' reply came nine minutes later when full-back Brett Hodgson bagged a four-pointer and then converted it to reduce the Bulldogs' lead to six points.
But their joy was short-lived, with Bulldogs skipper Andrew Ryan crashing over four minutes later and Hazem El Masri converting to make it 18-6.
However, Daniel Fitzhenry gave Tigers fans hope, the winger crossing in the dying seconds of the half and Hodgson converting.
The Bulldogs then inexplicably went to sleep in the second half, allowing the Tigers back into the match.
They piled on the next four tries, with Prince scoring twice and substitutes Bronson Harrison and John Wilson adding four-pointers to take a seemingly unassailable lead.
But the Bulldogs awoke from their slumber to give Tigers fans a fright, piling on three tries in the last eight minutes.
Five-eighth Braith Anasta bagged a double and half-back Brent Sherwin also scored, with El Masri converting all three to lock up the scores.
But the Tigers obtained possession after the Bulldogs lost the ball and Prince took advantage to snap the winning field goal.
