Vic Bulgin played 33 games for Easts (Roosters) between 1947 and 1949 as a fullback.

After playing for NSW in 1948, Vic was selected on the 1948-49 Kangaroo tour as Clive Churchill's fullback understudy.

In 1950, Vic joined Canterbury late in the season and played centre.

In 1951, Vic became captain-coach of the first grade side but only stayed at the club for five games before retiring from Rugby League to realise his potential as an amateur golfer.

Vic spent much of his successful golfing career in South Africa and Canada.
