Trevor Thurling joined the Buldogs in 2002 as a second row forward.

Trevor became a regular member of the Flegg team and played in the Preliminary Final against St George Illawarra as a prop.

In 2003, Trevor captained the Flegg team and played in the Premiership winning team against Cronulla as a prop. He became a regular member of the Premier League team later that season.

In 2004, Trevor was a regular member of the Premier League team and received the opportunity to play in the NRL against Manly when Steve Price, Willie Mason and Mark O'Meley were absent on representative duty.

In 2005, Trevor's season was ruined by a leg injury and in 2006 he joined Canberra, playing nine games, mainly from the bench.
