Trent Cutler, the son of Bulldogs great Stan Cutler, got his chance in first grade at fullback in 2005 after some well documented injury troubles at the club.
Trent joined the Bulldogs in 2001 as a half back and was soon moved to fullback to become a regular member of the Flegg team where he played in the Preliminary Final against Parramatta from the bench.
In 2002, he was a regular member of the Flegg team and played in the Preliminary Final against St George Illawarra.
In 2003, Trent started the season in Jersey Flegg and played in the Premiership winning team against Cronulla. He became a regular member of the Premier League team and played in the Preliminary Final against Penrith from the bench.
In 2004, Trent started the season in Premier League but his season was ruined by injury. However, he returned to play in the Qualifying Semi Final against Parramatta in the Jersey Flegg competition and played in the Qualifying Semi Final against the Roosters in Premier League.
In 2005, Trent started the season in Premier League and received the opportunity to play in the NRL against Cronulla when Adam Perry was injured - playing from the bench. Later in the season Trent replaced the injured Luke Patten only to injure his ankle and miss the rest of the season.
Favoured at fullback, Trent was once again called upon in 2006 playing seven games and scoring three tries on the wing. His pace was evident in Round 5 against Canberra when he raced away to score before replicating the four-pointer in Round 22 against the Cowboys - scoring the final try in a 54-14 demolition.
In season 2007 Trent played 11 first grade games, scoring seven tries. In his 13 Premier League appearances he managed 14 four-pointers.
In 2008 Trent joined the Wests Tigers.
In 2009, he has returned to the Canterbury's NSW Cup feeder club, the Bankstown City Bulls.
From 2009-2011, Trent was a member of each of the three NSW Cup premiership winning teams, captaining the 2010 and 2011 teams.
Trent's final year with the club was in 2012.
In his 11 seasons with the club, Trent played a total of 224 Club Games, scoring 153 Tries.
In 2018, Trent was awarded Life Membership of the Football Club.
