Tony Brenton played 19 games for St George from 1968 to 1969 as a winger.

Tony joined Canterbury in 1970 and played in the winning Pre-Season Final against his former club St George.

After starting the season in first grade, he was relegated for Les Perry to return to the team. Tony then became a regular in reserve grade and played in the Semi-Final against Balmain.
