Tom Gillogly joined Canterbury in 1973 as a goal kicking winger.
He was a regular member of the Under 23s team and played in the Preliminary Final against Balmain.
In 1974, Tom started the season in reserve grade but by mid-season had returned to the Under 23s playing in the Grand Final against St George.
In 1975, became a regular member of the reserve grade team and received the opportunity to play first grade against Manly when Max Cole was injured. He then played in the reserve grade Preliminary Semi-Final against Cronulla.
Tom joined Balmain in 1976 and played two first grade games in 1979.
