Todd Polglase joined the Bulldogs in 2000 as a fullback.

After missing his initial season due to injury, Todd returned in 2001 to be a regular member of the Flegg team and played in the Premiership winning team against Cronulla.

In 2002, Todd was a regular member of the Premier League team and received the opportunity to play in the NRL against Newcastle when Willie Talau was injured. He returned to the Premier League and played in the Semi-Final against Manly before receiving a season ending injury, missing the Grand Final.

In 2003, Todd was a regular member of the Premier League team and played in the Preliminary Final against Penrith.

In 2004, Todd joined South Sydney to play 38 games from 2004 to 2006 before joining Newcastle in 2007 where he played a further seven first grade games.

On January 29 2008, Todd announced his retirement following a recurring battle with a hamstring injury.
