Theo Aanst joined Canterbury in 1985 as a prop forward.
Theo was a regular member of the Under 23 team for three seasons before becoming a regular member of the reserve grade team, late in 1987. He played in the Preliminary Semi-Final against Easts (Roosters).
In 1988, Theo was a regular member of the reserve grade team and received the opportunity to play first grade against Newcastle when Peter Tunks withdrew after the City v Country game.
Theo started the 1989 season late and was a regular member of the reserve grade team.
Theo moved to France to play for St Gaudens before qualifying to play for France in 1993 and 1994.
