Terry Bawden joined Canterbury in 1966 as a goal kicking fullback.

In 1967 he became a regular member of the reserve grade team and received the opportunity to play first grade against Cronulla when Les Johns was injured.

In 1968, Terry was able to secure a regular first grade position due to Les John's long absence with injury.

In 1969, Terry joined Easts (Roosters) to play 11 first grade games in 1969 before retiring in 1970.

Terry passed away in January 2020.
