Ted Anderson joined Canterbury in 1938 after playing for NSW in 1937 from the Newcastle competition.
A skilful five eighth, Ted was able to secure a first grade position in six of the nine seasons that he played.
Unlucky to miss the Premiership winning 1938 team due to injury, Ted did play in the 1940 final against Easts (Roosters).
In later years, Ted moved to lock and second row and served the club well in the lower grades.
In 2004, Ted was nominated for the Berries to Bulldogs 70 Year Team of Champions.
