Tas Baiteri played six games for Penrith between 1978 and 1985 in two stints as a prop forward.
Tas joined Canterbury in 1982 and became a regular member of the first grade team as a second row forward and captain after making his debut against South Sydney. He captained Canterbury on nine occasions.
In 1983, Tas played every game in first grade including the Preliminary Final against Parramatta.
In 1984, Tas became a regular member of the reserve grade team and in 1985, he returned to Penrith for one last season before heading to France for a coaching career and was the national coach of France.
Tas is now the Development Manager for the International Rugby League Board, promoting the game in developing countries.
