Sid Elliott was fullback in the 1931 Canterbury-Bankstown President Cup team that won the junior league competition.
Sid then went on to grade with Western Suburbs, playing one first grade game in 1933.
Sid re-joined Canterbury for the inaugural 1935 season and played in the opening first grade match in his regular centre position.
Injury did impact on his season and he did not return to club until the 1937 season.
For two seasons, Sid was captain of the reserve grade team and played in the first reserve grade semi-final in 1938.
Sid returned for his third stint in 1940 again as captain of the reserve grade side, however the retirment of first grade captain Alan Brady gave Sid his second opportunity to play first grade mid-season.
