Scott Hill joined Canterbury in 1996 as a five eighth.

Scott progressed through the grades quickly and received the opportunity to play first grade against South Sydney as a replacement.

In 1997, Scott joined the Hunter Mariners to play 18 games in that season.

In 1998, Scott joined Melbourne to play 177 games including the 2006 Grand Final against Brisbane.

Scott played five games for NSW from 2000 to 2002 and played six Tests for Australia from 2000 to 2004. Scott was a member of the 2000 World Cup team and the 2004 Tri-Nations tour.

Scott has joined London Harlequins for 2007.
