Ross Kite played 88 games for St George from 1952 to 1957 as a centre with goal kicking talent.

He moved to the wing in 1953 and played in the Grand Final against South Sydney. In 1954, Ross was selected for NSW where he scored four tries on debut. He played eight games for NSW between 1954 and 1958.

Ross also played five Tests for Australia between 1955 and 1958.

He played in the St George 1956 Premiership winning team and after missing the finals in 1957, Ross moved to Wagga for one season.

He joined Canterbury in 1959 to become a regular first grade player. In 1960, Ross started the season in first grade but was relegated to reserve grade mid-season for Ron Dick.

He returned to first grade in 1961 to complete his career. 

Ross passed away on May 30 2004 aged 72 following a battle with cancer.
