Ron Treuer joined Canterbury in 1948 as a prop forward.

In 1949, Ron became a regular member of the first grade team playing in the second row.

In 1951, Ron played mainly in the lower grades but in 1951 re-emerged in first grade as a prop.

In 1952, Ron lost his first grade position midway through the season but finished the season by playing in the reserve grade Grand Final against South Sydney.

Ron passed away in September 2018.
