Ron Dick joined Canterbury in 1960 as a centre.

He received the opportunity to play first grade against Parramatta when Noel Collie was injured.

Ron secured a position on the wing in first grade and played in the play off that season. Unfortunately, he was injured for the Semi-Final against Easts (Roosters) and did not play.

Ron's 1961 season was interrupted with injury and he missed the entire 1962 season. After attempting a comeback in 1963, he had another season interrupted by injury, playing his last game for the club in 1963.
