Reg Cooper joined Canterbury in 1954 as a centre. Reg is the brother of Lionel, Cec and Col Cooper.
He joined St George in 1955 and played one game on the wing before playing in the lower grades during 1956 and 1957.
Reg rejoined Canterbury in 1958 to secure a regular position in first grade.
He started the 1959 season in reserve grade and by the end of the season was in third grade to play in the Semi-Final against Newtown.
In 1960, Reg was a regular member of the third grade team.
Reg passed away in April 2019.
