Ray Windshuttle joined Canterbury in 1964 as a second row forward.

In 1965, Ray became a regular member of the third grade team and in 1966, Ray commenced the season as captain of the third grade before gaining a regular position in reserve grade.

Ray made his first grade debut late in the 1966 season against North Sydney when Ron Raper was injured.

In 1967, Ray became a regular member of the reserve grade team as lock and after starting the 1968 season in reserve grade, he was relegated to be captain of third grade.

In 1969, Ray was a regular member of the third grade team and played his last game in the Grand Final against South Sydney.

Ray passed away on August 23 2008.
