After starting the 1972 season in reserve grade, Peter returned to first grade replacing Bernie Lowther but by mid-season, Peter was then relegated for Bernie Lowther.

In 1973, Peter started the season in Under 23s and only played a limited amount of games in reserve grade before injury ended his season early.

In 1974, Peter joined South Sydney to play 24 games between 1974 and 1975. In 1976, Peter joined North Sydney to play 11 first grade games.
