Peter Louis joined Canterbury in 1968 as a second row forward.
Peter was a regular member of the third grade team. In 1969, he became a regular member of the reserve grade team and received his opportunity in first grade when Merv Hicks was injured.
After starting the 1970 season in reserve grade, Peter returned to Woy Woy.
After coaching Woy Woy, he became John Monie's understudy at Parramatta as reserve grade coach for six seasons. His teams played in the 1986 and 1989 Grand Finals.
Peter moved to North Sydney in 1990 to coach the reserve grade to Premierships in 1991 and 1992.
He became first grade coach of North Sydney in 1993 and coached North Sydney until early 1999.
Peter became the NRL Referees Coach in 2000 and held this job for three years.
