Peter Inskip represented Country in 1968 and 1969 while playing in Tamworth as a goal kicking fullback.

Peter joined Canterbury in 1970 and played in the winning Pre-Season Final against St George. He was a regular member of the first grade team and played every game in the season including the Semi-Final against St George.

Peter started the 1971 season in first grade but when Les Johns returned from injury, Peter was relegated to reserve grade where he played in the Premiership winning team against St George.

In 1972, Peter joined North Sydney to play all 22 games before returning to Tamworth.
