Paul Langmack joined Canterbury in 1983 as a lock forward.
Paul progressed quickly through the grades to be a regular member of the reserve grade team before receiving the opportunity to play first grade against Parramatta as a replacement.
Paul played in the 1983 Preliminary Semi-Final against Parramatta as a replacement.
In 1984, Paul started the season in reserve grade but was promoted to first grade for Jim Leis mid-season. He was a regular in first grade for the next seven seasons and played in the Premiership winning team against Parramatta.
In 1985, Paul played in every match including the Premiership winning team against St George.
In 1986, Paul played every game including the Grand Final against Parramatta and was selected for the 1986 Kangaroo tour.
In 1987, Paul played for NSW for the first time. Paul played four games for NSW between 1987 and 1988. He played every game in the 1987 season to break Lin Johnson's 1946 record for 84 consecutive first grade games.
Paul's run of consecutive games was broken in 1988 with 94 consecutive games.
In 1988, Paul played in the Premiership winning team against Balmain.
In 1989, Paul captained Canterbury for the first time. He captained Canterbury on 13 occasions between 1989 and 1990.
In 1990, Paul played every match in a season for the fourth time.
In 1991, Paul joined Western Suburbs to play 137 games from 1991 to 1998 and in 1999, Paul joined Easts (Roosters) to play three games before retiring.
After being an assistant coach at the Wests Tigers, Paul was appointed coach of South Sydney in 2003 and 2004.
Paul was nominated for the Berries to Bulldogs 70 Year Team of Champions in 2004.
In 2011, Paul was awarded Life Membership of the Football Club.
