Paul Doolan played six games for St George in 1990 as a winger.

Paul joined Canterbury in 1991 and became a regular member of the reserve grade team. He received the opportunity to play first grade against Penrith and played in the Play-Off against Western Suburbs.

In 1992, Paul became a regular member of the first grade team.

In 1993, Paul started the season in reserve grade but was recalled to first grade when Brett Dallas was injured and played in the Semi-Final against St George. Dallas returned and Paul was relegated to play in the reserve grade Preliminary Final against Newcastle.

Paul joined Cronulla in 1994 to play 10 games from 1994 to 1995.
