Mitch Brown began playing junior league for his local club side the Gymea Gorillas.
Mitch went to school at Endeavour Sports High in the Sutherland Shire, representing the school at fullback during a successful period for the school.
Mitch was picked for the Australian Schoolboys team in 2005 and an NRL career was starting to form for the young winger who eventually went on to join with the Cronulla Sharks in 2006.
Mitch showed lightning speed and a knack for crossing the try line and many had him earmarked to play a big part in the Sharks NRL campaign.
Mitch was given the opportunity on three occasions late in the season but was unable to notch up his first NRL four pointer on the wing.
The future was bright for the Young Fullback/Winger who managed to secure another 38 NRL appearances with the Sharks from 2007-2009.
Mitch signed with the Wests Tigers for seasons 2010 and 2011 and was a regular in the Tigers NRL side notching up 40 more NRL appearances for the Tigers due mainly to his versatility in playing across vital positions when needed.
Having started the 2012 season with the Wests Tigers, Mitch was released to join Bulldogs after round one. Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys said, "He felt he needed to position himself somewhere where he could secure a starting spot. His preferred position"
An ACL injury early in the season saw him play no games in 2012 and gave the young winger a chance to recover and improve whilst the Bulldogs charged to a Minor Premiership and Grand Final appearance.
There were big expectations for Mitch who was ready to show Bulldogs Members what he could do on the field. After enduring one of the toughest pre-seasons known to any NRL team under Coach Des Hasler, Mitch was ready to make his mark.
Mitch made 24 appearances for the Bulldogs in 2013 and found plenty of success with a career best 12 tries during a tough campaign by the Canterbury side.
Mitch made his 100th NRL appearance in 2013.
Mitch was on the wing again in 2014, apart from a 4 week stint at fullback when Sam Perrett was unavailable. He played in all four of the Bulldogs post season games, including the grand final which they lost 30-6 against South Sydney.
Mitch left the Bulldogs to return to the Cronulla Sharks in 2015.
