Lee Pomfret played two games for St George in 1977 as a half back.
Lee joined Canterbury in 1979 and after starting the season in reserve grade, became a regular of the Under 23 team.
Lee played fullback in the reserve grade Preliminary Semi-Final against South Sydney but missed the remainder of the season.
In 1980, Lee became a regular member of the reserve grade team as a fullback and received the opportunity in first grade against Balmain when Chris Mortimer was injured.
Lee played in the reserve grade Semi-Final against Manly and was promoted to be a fresh reserve for first grade but did not play in the Premiership winning team against Easts (Roosters).
In 1981, Lee continued in reserve grade and played wing in the Preliminary Semi-Final against St George.
Lee joined Illawarra in 1982 to play 27 games from 1982 to 1983.
