Kyle Flanagan joined the Bulldogs from the Sydney Roosters on a three-year deal commencing in 2021.

In Round 1 of the 2021 season, Kyle made his debut for Canterbury against Newcastle which Canterbury lost 32-16.

After coming in and out of the side until the round 16 game against Manly, he was reselected after four teammates were side-lined by NSW Health after breaching NRL restrictions related to COVID-19.

Kyle made a total of 13 appearances for Canterbury in the 2021 season as the Club finished last and claimed the Wooden Spoon.

In 2022 he made a total of 20 appearances for the Bulldogs as the Club finished 12th on the table, missing the finals. 

He featured in a total of 17 games in the 2023 season, with Canterbury finishing 15th. 

On 7 September 2023, Kyle signed a two-year deal to join St George Illawarra starting in 2024.
