Kris Tassell played two games for Canberra in 1992 as a fullback.

Kris joined the Bulldogs in 1995 and became a regular member of the reserve grade team before receiving the opportunity to play first grade against North Sydney when John Timu was injured. He was injured himself and replaced by Rod Silva to play the rest of the season in reserve grade.

In 1996, Kris joined North Queensland to play 52 games from 1996 to 1999.
