Kevin Schraader joined Canterbury in 1996 as a winger.
A South African Rugby recruit, Kevin was a regular member of the reserve grade team and received the opportunity to play first grade against North Queensland when Steven Hughes was relegated.
In 1997, Kevin was a regular member of the reserve grade team and played in the Premiership winning team against Auckland.
