Ken Peet joined Canterbury in 1958 as a winger from Sydney University Rugby Union first grade.

After starting the season in reserve grade, Ken received the opportunity to play first grade when Barry Stenhouse was injured. He was able to maintain a regular position in the first grade team.

In 1959, Ken commenced the season in first grade but was relegated to reserve grade to allow Noel Collie to play first grade. That year Ken played in the Preliminary Final against North Sydney.

He was to play two more seasons in reserve grade with an occasional game in first grade but he did play in the first grade Semi Final against Eastern Suburbs in 1960. His playing career was cut short by a car accident in 1961. Although he survived the accident, Ken did not play again.
