Jim Serdaris played 69 games for South Sydney from 1989 to 1992 as a hooker.

In 1993, Jim joined Canterbury and started the season in reserve grade. He received the opportunity to play first grade against Penrith when Geordi Peats was injured. Jim played in the Preliminary Final against Brisbane.

In 1994, Jim joined Western Suburbs to play 37 games from 1994 to 1995. He was selected on the 1994 Kangaroo tour and played one Test for Australia.

In 1995, Jim played three games for NSW. In 1996, he joined Manly to play 80 games from 1996 to 1998, including playing in the Premiership winning team against St George in 1996.
