Jim McCormack played 17 games for South Sydney in 1935 as a lock including the 19-3 final loss to Easts (Roosters).
Jim joined Canterbury in 1937 playing his first game as a centre.
Thereafter, Jim played second row or lock for Canterbury and secured a first grade spot from 1937 to 1939.
In 1938, Jim played all first grade games including the Premiership winning team.
In 1939 he played in the Premiership winning reserve grade team.
After missing the first half of 1940, Jim returned to play out his career in reserve grade.
