Jason Lidden played 108 games for Western Suburbs from 1988 to 1993 as a five eighth.

In 1994, Jason joined Penrith to play 25 games from 1994 to 1995 as a second row.

In 1996, Jason joined Canterbury and started the season as a replacement against Balmain for first grade. He was relegated for Steve Reardon early in the season to captain reserve grade but returned mid-season as a regular replacement for the rest of the season.
