Harry Griffin made his first grade debut for South Sydney in 1936 where he played 16 games. Harry joined Canterbury in 1938.

A prop, Harry had to wait patiently as an understudy to Eddie Burns and Henry Porter.

He only played a few games in 1939 but made a comeback in 1942.
