Harold Stringer played with Leigh from 1968 to 1972.

Harold joined Canterbury in 1973 as a centre. After starting the season in reserve grade, Harold moved to lock in the Under 23s before receiving the opportunity to play first grade against Parramatta as a replacement.

Harold played in the reserve grade Semi-Final against Newtown and started the 1974 season in reserve grade but after being injured he returned to England to play for Fulham.
