Harlan Alaalatoa played his junior football for the Bankstown Bulls before joining the Bulldogs in 2006. 

Harlan played for the Bulldogs NYC team in 2008.

From 2009-2011, Harlan was a member of each of the three NSW Cup premiership winning teams.

In 2012, Harlan won the Terry Lamb Medal for the NSW Cup Player of the Year award and was also named at lock in the 2012 NSW Cup Team of the Year.

In Round 5 of the 2013 NRL season, Harlan made his NRL debut for the Bulldogs against Manly.

Although he played one NRL game, Harlan played 173 Club Games in his nine years at the club.
