Greg Sankey joined Canterbury in 1977 as a fullback.
Greg was a regular member of the Under 23 team and played in the play offs.
In 1978 he missed most of the season before returning toward the end of the season.
In 1979, Greg was a regular member of the Under 23 team before playing centre in the reserve grade Grand Final against Parramatta.
In 1980, Greg became a regular member of the reserve grade team and played in the Premiership winning team against Parramatta as centre.
In 1981 he returned to fullback and received the opportunity to play first grade against Newtown as a replacement.
In 1982, Greg continued in reserve grade and in 1983 played first grade early in the season when Greg Brentnall was injured.
In the pre season of 1984, Greg suffered a major injury and retired from the game.
