Greg Barwick joined Canterbury in 1988 as a goal-kicking fullback.
Greg progressed through the grades quickly to be a regular member of the reserve grade team before receiving the opportunity to play first grade against Newcastle as a replacement.
In 1989, Greg started the season late in the Under 23s and played the three games in first grade when Darren Blythe was relegated.
In 1990, Greg joined Penrith to play 24 games from 1990 to 1991. He played in the Premiership winning team against Canberra in 1991.
In 1992, Greg joined North Sydney to play 25 games from 1992 to 1993.
In 1995, Greg played 17 games for Balmain in his last season before retiring.
