Glen Haggath joined Canterbury in 1989 as a second row forward.

Glen was a regular member of the reserve grade team and received the opportunity to play first grade against Easts (Roosters) as a replacement.

Glen spent time in first grade when Steve Folkes was injured and in 1990, he continued as a regular member of the reserve grade team.
